All that said, I was very worried about how they were gonna bring her back without breaking all of their own rules, but I gotta hand it to RTD, he did it well.

I have never been a massive Rose fan but she was definitely ok in this episode. I think she does a lot better when The Doctor isn't around for her to mope over.

I've never disliked Rose, I just never understood why people went on about her so much. It really annoyed me when so many people completely dismissed Mertha as crap before she'd even started just because She Wasn't Rose.

annoying but bearable. I've never liked Catherine Tate in anything else, but she really was pretty good this time. And next week should be magical. (But why no Captain John too? Everyone else is in there...)

Totally agree - this episode rocked! Although I did ask my boyfriend if Rose has always talked like she just had her wisdom teeth pulled. That was the only part that really annoyed me.
Loved the parallel/alternate universe stuff - fantastic!

I also really liked Catherine Tate in this episode - and you know that's high praise coming from me! *smirk* I finally started seeing Donna the character rather than Catherine Tate the annoying "I think I'm so funny but I'm really not" git of an actress.

Must fast forward to next Saturday! Come on week - hurry up!
