I actually meant to poll about this a while ago but I forgot.

I'm just curious how many of you 'fix' photos of yourself with Photoshop or whatever before you post them on any sort of online site

Personally I don't, but I did make my hair a bit more red in an icon of myself that I used to have, and that was only because the camera didn't pick up the colour properly. Mostly what you see is what you get

This is because the icon you see? *points to it* is all I have ever posted of me online. Except for a super secret screened post seen by a handful of people...

I hate photos of me. Hate.

Photoshop would really cut into my sitting around time.

I usually edit photo's of new hair colour, as the colour doesn't stand out in the light I have available to me. I alter it to make it closer.

I've not yet mastered the art of air brushing and what not - otherwise I might look more like this:

To be fair I sometimes click on the autofix to balance colours, contrast etc. Otherwise, no.Not that I like posting pictures of me much anyway.

The only time I do it is when something just looks wrong - hair, or something. Or if the lighting is shit. lol.

I'm not voting - because sometimes I fix them, sometimes I don't. Given, 90% of my photography is scenery - and when I fix them I fix it so the colors are how I* remember seeing them when I took the photo.

For example - I have some great photos of Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven. The evening we went the grass was almost blue green and the castle had a shadowy effect to it as it was just before sunset. The photos looked ok on preview but when I downloaded them to the computer they were much lighter then what I thought they should be - so I added some blue and darkened the shadows which made it much more hor I remembered it!

When I had PSP, I used to make my skin a little bit better.
My camera is super sensitive and picks up every blemish, make-up or no.
So I used to fix that a bit.
But aside from that, I tend to leave it as is.
Or use black and white shots - which is a shame because I love my icey blue eyes.

I can't :) Otherwise I would correct red eyes and such, but nothing more.

I ticked No as the only editing I do is occasionally to adjust the brightness so the photos aren't horrendously dark. I don't airbrush or edit my appearance in the photo at all.
