Now I have power my mouse randomly stopped working. I uninstalled the drivers with the intention of installing new ones only now it's working. With no drivers installed. How odd!

No matter how many years I work in IT I think technology will always slightly baffle me. Tony Stark I am not. LOL!

lol stark i must be. vid's router up and died and we couldn't figure out why. i opened it up (oops, bye bye warranty) and one wire was fried haha. snip. retwist and voila! it'll work until the computer store is open monday.

haa. bravery is nothing - i just know my way with electronics. *iz geek* besides, who wants to go look for an open computer store when the car's broken down and its 31 degrees celcius outside?!

I think with standard peripherals like a mouse or keyboard the built in windows drivers usually do just fine. If my mouse comes with a driver I don't usually install it.

The only time I would bother with a keyboard driver was if the keyboard had non-standard multi-media buttons, which my one at work does. I had to install the drivers for it so I could get the buttons to work, but then again I never use them...

Well, this is my laptop touch pad rather than an external mouse.

Still, it work, and I have the drivers downloaded if I need to install them at a later date
