I really wish I could come up with intelligent and meaningful reviews of Doctor Who
Stephen Moffat has been king of Doctor Who writers ever since Blink so I was really looking forward to this episode.
It did not disappoint.
It was creepy, not at scary as Blink, but creepy enough for it to be exciting.
I have loved Alex Kingston since she was in Moll Flanders many years ago so I'm thrilled to see her on TV again. Can't wait to see what the story with her and The Doctor is.
Donna can't be dead obviously because isn't there supposed to be an episode at the end with her, Martha and Rose? Anyway, so not buying it.
So, yup, liked it. So much better than The Unicorn and The Wasp or whatever that crap was the week before last

Loving the doctor's future relationship plotline. David and Alex are playing it brilliantly.
And nothing, NOTHING could be scarier than blink.

Date: 2008-06-01 10:47 pm (UTC)The Doctor's loneliness has always been a given part of his character. I can't think the writers are giving that up without some grand plan.
Didn't the original Doctor travel around with his granddaughter? Maybe Alex will turn out to be the daughter of the daughter that was just created a few eps back. Though that isn't what the writers are intimating.
