I forgot to mention that all weekend they had flyers up for the next con in September with Michael Rosenbaum and Adam Baldwin as the main guests so far. I refuse to get excited about it until I'm actually there with Rosenbaum but I really hope it works out as I would love to meet Adam Baldwin too.

I also had my first ever Krispy Kreme doughnut this weekend. [livejournal.com profile] supernaturalhel was shocked when I said I'd never had one before and we wound up with a box of 12. My diet has been shot to hell this weekend.

Oh, and I got Helen to watch Justice. I forgotten just how much of an awesome episode, and whilst it filled me with renewed glee for Smallville it also made me sad because it showed me that the writers DO have the ability to make it a good show. Why aren't all the episodes like this? Or more of them at least.

I had to pop back to the con this morning to pick up the photo of me and Eve. While I was there I took a couple more photos.

Every time I mention I am going to Milton Keynes, Greg starts talking about concrete cows. I finally saw them this time

I love this tree. Reminds me of the one on the poster for Big Fish

Adam Baldwin is a freakin sweetheart!!!!! I'd tell people to meet him even if they had no idea who he is!

Oh and that tree is gorgeous!!! The cows are a bit odd though! Hee!

Hee! Well, that's good to know! I compare everyone I meet to Nathan Fillion as he is so far the best guest at a con in terms of making sure everyone has a good time. I've been told Adam and Michael may be competition ;)

The cows are creepy. I'm waiting for them to turn up in an episode of Doctor Who ;)

I've heard things about Nathan, whom I am dying to meet, and I don't think Adam is quite on par. But totally sweet. Adam was really nice to us at SFX a couple of years ago. Came over to the fan-run Serenity fantable a couple of times and everything!

That's so great! I really hope I get the chance to meet him. It will all depend on Michael ;)

That Michael! SUCH a troublemaker!

Hehe! Well, so long as he doesn't cancel again it should all be fine ;)

I think the cows are a recent addition because I've been past that tree many times and I don't remember seeing them.

According to Wikipedia these are the original cows, but the ones people are generally thinking of are the replicas, which are outside somewhere.

Ah! It was probably the outside cows Greg was talking about :)

I go to MK all the time and I've never seen the outside ones either. I do now know that I've been looking in the wrong place!

Hehe! The only part of MK I've seen is the shopping centre where they have Collectormania and the surrounding few streets

Just as well, you'd just get lost and never be seen again.

Hehe! Yeah, that nearly happened this weekend IN the shopping centre. LOL! We became convinced the shops moved when we weren't looking

Yeah, they do that. I swear MK is like magnetic north and switches position every so often.

That wouldn't surprise me at all

ok those cows can't have been there for long, they weren't two months ago!

From: [identity profile] hils.livejournal.com
...that would explain why I didn't see them last time I was there. LOL!

I think the "real" concrete cows are in a field somewhere.

MK is definitely one of the Circles of Dante's hell. Now we have a John Lewis in Solihull and an IKEA in Coventry we are able to avoid going there.

Ahh! Ok. I don't think I will make an effort to find the cows outside or I will never be seen again ;)

After reading all the comments people have made about Adam, I'm sad that I won't get to meet him this weekend. :(

Concrete cows are cool!

Now you're giving me ideas that I should have picspam on my LJ when I get back from the con.

From: [identity profile] hils.livejournal.com
Of course you must have picspam! That's the whole point of going to a con! LOL!

LOL Picspam was difficult last year because of dial up. And I forgot to take pics since I was so excited and a bit shy. I wasn't sure if you could just ask people in costume if you could take their pics. I'm hoping that won't happen this time. ;)

I love the cows! A few years back we had something called 'The Cow Parade' in Manchester, where schools and other groups were given a cow similar to the ones in your pic to decorate.

I thought it was a bloody stupid idea at first but it was great fun turning a corner in town and coming face to face with a psycadelic cow!

And September you say.... hmmmm *thinks thinky bugeting thoughts*

You've made me hungry for donuts!

Hehe! I'm already planning for September, just in case he actually shows up this time *g*
