Nice list! I think I agree with most of them...

What the hell? TV didn't exist before the 90s except for Monty Python? Where's "Taxi" or "All in the Family" or "Cheers" (remember that little show that *began* "Frasier"?). How about "Maude?" Geez.

Uh...how about Empire is an English magazine. Ever seen Blackadder? Made in the 80s, as was Only Fools and Horses and Red Dwarf. Fawlty Towers is from the 70s, Star Trek is from the 60s

It may come as a shock to discover that not all TV is American

First off, apologies for the tone; I wasn't crabbing at you and I didn't think how it sounded until I reread my comment. *wince* Didn't mean anything harsh by it.

Second, I wonder about some older American programs, since 80 percent of this list is American-produced television. I realize Empire is British, and had the list even been 50/50, I probably wouldn't have wondered about it. (That said, there are also a couple of British shows I'm surprised aren't on the list; I just didn't mention them because they're newer.)

I have to say that the shows you listed I hadn't even heard of...apart from Cheers which I didn't like. LOL!

I think the list was put together by Empire readers and people have a tendency to remember shows they've watched more recently
