Well, I watched one episode of The Wire all the way through and I'm still not into it. Mostly because I have no idea what's going on. LOL! But cop dramas aren't really my thing (unless it's CSI) so I think I'm just going to leave it there.

It is written by a guy who was a journalist in Baltimore, and it is really about the politics and social dynamics of an American city. If you ever wanted something resembling a *real* look at American politics and society produced for TV, this show is one window. Baltimore is very racially divided, has a very high crime rate, has all sorts of urban problems. Right down the road from our nation's capital - a city with a lot of similar problems.
Of course, that doesn't mean it will be your cuppa. You still might find it boring as HELL! And I should note that this was not a show I ever made time to watch. So I'm giving you second hand opinions and a rehash of critics' commentaries.
