Please, just humour the n00b

Is there a way I can set up a folder so that my LJ comments will go directly into it and stay seperate from my personal mail

I haven't managed to find any such setting...which makes Gmail suck a bit indeed. *nodnod* You can label and/or filter the messages, though, which might help a little.

Are you using an email client?

My suggestion would be to set up filters/labels then.

Can you recommend any good e mail clients?

You can set up a filter so it gets labelled and then go straight to archive, but that means you need to remember to check the label regularly. You can also set it to have a star attached to it as part of the filter so that you can easily identify it as an LJ comment.

I use "LJ" and "live journal" as key words for my LJ filter... but I just label it, not move it to the archive.

ETA: But of course, I also have two gmail accounts, one with my LJ online name and one with RL name. So I get very few LJ comments into my RL account anyway! *I am stupid* You can divert mails from one to the other though, if you wanted to do that.
