Dreams and travelling

Last night I had a Torchwood dream in which Owen turned into a flesh eating zombie. At first he was aware of what was happening to him and the team was trying to help him adjust but by the end he was just killing everyone. Also, Bruce Wayne was part of the Torchwood team only it was my Sim version of Bruce. LOL!

Looks like I won't be going to Texas again this year BUT I have been ordered invited to go over for next years Hockey Challenge so it looks like I'll be doing that instead :)

I have plenty going on this year already so it's probably for the best.

Mum is encouraging me to buy a car once I've passed my test but I don't honestly see the point. My building has no parking and even if I left it at work I won't be working there this time next year. If I want to go away anywhere by car I'll just have to hire one.

The only problem with hiring a car is that you'd have to insure it. If you haven't ever owned a car and built up a 'no claims' bonus you will find that incredibly expensive.

I'd try and persuade your parents to put you on their insurance (with you paying for it) so that you can build up your 'no claims' for future reductions in insurance costs. Even if you don't drive their car you'll at least have the benefit when/if you do want to buy one.

Yeah, mum is going to put me on her insurance regardless. Sadly it's just not practical for me to own a car where I presently live. I didn't anticipate needing to drive when I moved in.
