This is so hard! I really want to like this show and all the right elements are there. It's very faithful to T1 and T2 but something just isn't clicking with me and I don't know why. It's not just Cameron being a Terminator who can apparently lie and feel remorse, and it's not just that this isn't Linda Hamilton. There's just something a little off about it

Seeing the future in this episode just made it worse even though it's almost identical to what we saw in the Terminator flashbacks. Reese has his photo of Sarah, the machines don't look fully human yet etc etc but all the way through it felt wrong

It doesn't help that Reese's brother used to be in 90210. LOL!

Well, I'm sticking with it until it finishes. I am a glutton for punishment. LOL

I ordered Terminator and Terminator 2 today so I can watch them again and let jacqui_hw watch them for the first time.

I feel the same way. I really like John and there are elements that i like, but for some reason, I'm just not feeling it.

I haven't seen that much of the series, but I felt the same way. The series could be good, but it felt off to me too.

I know one problem was that I was comparing it, unintentionally, to SPN. I kept thinking that John should have more skills. He's the future of mankind and his way of dealing with rampaging terminators is running away in fear. It just lacked something for me. ;)

To be fair, there are ways to kill demons. Terminators are a bit more tricky. Look at the first Terminator film (and the second one actually)

At no point to they turn and fight the machines. It's all about running away so in that aspect I have no problem with the show

I know that Terminators are hard to kill, but I kept wondering, did they teach that boy any skills other than RUN!!! LOL Maybe he's more active in the other episodes. LOL

Hehe! He's more resourceful I would say. Cameron does most of the actual fighting
