Ok, setting aside the Clex for a moment I have to say that this episode was incredibly disturbing. Honestly, dragging Lex's comatose body around and Clark going into his mind just to find out where Lois and Kara are? There must have been another way. That whole stuff reminded me of Memoria combined with Shattered and Asylum. I didn't like it.

Obviously I loved the scene with Clark and Alexander at the end. It brought tears to my eyes *sniffles*

But I was really hoping for more from the Clex scene in the mansion. Just a glimmer of Alexander but Lex is clearly keeping him well hidden. Well, that's my episode snippet sorted for this week anyway ;)

Sadly I fear Clark will go back to hating Lex next week and not even thinking about the conversation with Alexander.

Also Lexana sex = Ick!!!

So, yes, parts of it were good but I don't think it stands up to Nemesis from last year

Edit: They are so setting Chloe up to sacrifice herself at the end of the series.

i agree that it looks like chloe's being positioned for something major to come. i hope she doesn't die, but it could happen.

that's a good point about lex's mind being ransacked again. i hadn't looked at it quite like that.

Clex aside I found this to be a disturbing episode and that's what stops me from thinking it's the most awesome thing ever.

Jay told me about the episode and I thought it sounded kind of interesting. Sad, but interesting. And totally out there (Lex gets shot like that and survives and then all the rest of it?).

Jay and I got into it a little over Clark playing around in Lex's mind and the Lexana scene. He was like "What a jerk!" over Lex using that against Clark and I was like "But Clark was in Lex's mind without his permission!"

I kind of got a bunny from what Jay told me, but since I can't see the episode, it's just sitting there. LOL

Maybe Chloe's death will be the final catalyst for Clark to become Supes. It'd suck but it is a possiblity.

I don't know if my bunny's worth attempting. I just wondered what Lex's reaction to Clark stomping through his mind is going to be. And WHY Clark did it. Sure he'll say it was to rescue the girls and blah blah blah, but will that satisfy Lex's curiosity?

So of course they'd get into it and Clark would have to pretend that there was no other reason and Lex would keep badgering him until Clark confessed that he still cares.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the episode. I liked Nemesis up until Lana brushed up against Clark. That moment killed a lot of the good feelings I had for it. Lana kills every good feeling. I just have nothing but hate for her at this point.

The lexana sex thing was very gross. It was also very obviously a body double for Lana.

The Superman comic was going to use Chloe then suddenly pulled out at the last minute. Maybe Almiles told them they planned to kill her off?

Yup, it seems as though a GPS unit or Chloe's expertise at finding the last call made and it's location.......something easier, anything easier. No...a run through Lex's mind. That makes sense. lol (and does everyone's mind look like a creepy warehouse or just Lex's??)

This was not my fav episode for so many reasons. No lynching here. I liked Nemesis 100 times better.

It actually just kind of drove home how far Clark and Lex are from the people they were in season one. I liked that it had Clark/Lex interaction in it, but that was about it. It's just so sad to see how far their relationship has really deteriorated.

Overall I enjoyed it despite the many flaws. (Lex gets hurt in Detroit yet they drag him all the way to smallville for medical attention? Wha? Oh Crackville - why you gotta do these things? - and Lois giving Lex her phone? WTF? And the end where Kara complains about Clark keeping things from her but doesn't seem to care that Lex knew who she was?! Huh?)

But I think you make a good point above and beyond all of those little things - the episode had a disturbing element and it yet there was nothing in the script that addressed the lack of ethics to what they were doing. That makes me sad - a missed opportunity, for sure.

I still haven't decided if i'll break my self-imposed rule and risk watching it or not...but in the meantime, the more i read about it, the more it reminds me of that movie "The Cell" with J-lo. hm.

You're not alone in having creepy feelings about what Clark did. Though I'm also someone who really hates the concept of the mindwipe kiss and the idea that in SR, Lois got knocked up by Clark and possibly doesn't remember (I didn't see the movie but that's what I heard).

It comes off as smug and hypocritical.

I think people say "my country, wrong or right" and apply that kind of thinking to Superman but my feeling is that act of constructive criticism of one's country & heroes is an act of righteousness.

Also, I hate the fact it took THAT for Clark to remember Lex was once not totally evil, Lionel was a bad parent and Lana is full o' crap.

I also know that many people who blow off this violation would be enraged if the FBI/CIA was wiretapping them and filming them and making a ginormous file about them. They wouldn't accept the whole "it's the good team doing this" and "you're not physically hurt so . . . no harm, no foul" as arguments when it comes to them.

I also feel it dismisses the harm perpetrated in Shattered/Asylum and it makes me wonder why I should shed any tears if turnabout happens to Clark where he's in a coma and the government says "Awright, mining time!"

I think that Clark going into Lex's mind just to find out about Kara turned into something more, and that's why in the end I was ok with it. It took Clark going into Lex's mind to figure some things out for himself.

I thought the Lexana sex scene was well done.

I don't think Chloe is going to die, but her powers will no longer exist after her true reason for having them happens.

I appreciate that it took being in Lex's head for Clark to see that his friend is still there, I just thought the whole build-up to that point was creepy.

Now I'm trying to think why Chloe has been given these powers other than to save someone elses life at her own expense
