Well, that made me want to become a vegetarian again.

This has been the first episode that, for me, lacked the wow factor. I dunno, I just really wasn't interested in the whole Gwen/Rhys thing although I was quite surprised at Jack backing down at the end. Not really sure where they're going with this. I was faintly annoyed at Gwen blatantly eyeing Jack while she kissed Rhys though

Tosh and Owen continue to be cute and they really do seem to have forgotten what a complete and utter twat Owen was last year. I'm not complaining though, I like him now.

As always Ianto got all the best lines. 'Release a single' Hehe!

Jack seemed to be reduced to innuendo this week but that's ok. It was amusing.

I'm totally baffled by the preview for next week. I have no idea what the hell was going on. Why was Owen in glasses. I suspect he wasn't declaring his love to Tosh though.

We shall see!

I really liked this week - the story itself had potency, and I felt real bad (there may been tears), when they killed the creature. It seemed to really affect Jack though, did he feel some kind of empathy for the creature, beyond human decency?

I think I'm beginning to get the Jack/Gwen thing, not in a I like it kind of way - but in the there's a story growing there. The question is really, what is it that Jack knows about Gwen? Beyond her not really loving Rhys - it's something bigger...

As to next week's, I read the preview as the boy (Jack is shoving around) has the power to affect people's mind's, twisting their characters into the opposite of who they are, or exaggerating who they are to extreme levels. Hence Ianto seeming to become a serial killer - that fits his personality type really (precise, logical, cynical, purposeful, and an anally retentive attention to detail). Owen becomes the opposite his self in the clip.

I cried too but my sympathy was entirely with the creature they were hacking up rather than any of the characters

My sympathy was all for the creature.

However there was something odd about Jack's reactions to it, which I'm wondering if it's part of the building main story.

I thought Jack's "This is quite Homo-erotic" line was superb. I've had Gwen/Jack/Rhys slash running through my head since then. *sigh*

I also liked that the episode showed Owen has a heart. He's always such a jerk and this episode proves that he can be a good guy when the situation warrants. (bedside manner and all that jazz).

I'm actually finding myself annoyed with Tosh's come ons to Owen.

And always always - Ianto really is the star of the show! *smirk*

Tosh is getting a bit desperate now which makes it kind of painful to watch

I missed some dialogue because I was laughing so hard at the homo-erotic line.

Owen lost me again.

It's like they wrote slash and then put it on the TV *g*

I know you watch Torchwood, and I'm a member of an ebook community where someone just uploaded some ebooks about Dr. Who/Torchwood here: http://community.livejournal.com/ebookshare/229095.html#cutid1

I'm not sure if you have to be a member, but it's not moderated anyway if you're interested!

OOH! I'll take a look! I'm not overly keen on ebooks as reading that much on screen hurts my eyes
