Giles is definitely the one that makes Tabula Rasa one of the best Buffy episodes ever. The outrage when Spike suggests they are father and son is so quickly replaced with a pleased smile when he thinks he's engaged to Anya. And the annoyance when all the bunnies appear

Tabula Rasa is an outstanding episode.

It never gets the credit it is due, mainly because it had the misfortune to be screened the week after The Best Buffy Ep Ever

I've never rated Once More With Feeling as the best episode ever. I do love it a lot but I think there are better ones
