Can't believe it's less than 3 weeks until I fly out!

I am 90% swayed towards buying a new ipod before I go. I've done the sums and I can afford it. Now I just need to consider whether to buy it next week when I get paid or wait until after Christmas.

Reckon they're likely to come down in price after the 25th or go up because there's less incentive to get people to buy one once Christmas is over?

Decisions, decisions.

As a long-time Apple buyer, I can tell you that their prices only change when they introduce new models, and since they did that not too long ago (the iTouch, the new Nano, the 160GB iPod), I don't think prices will change anytime soon. Of course, I could be wrong. :)

How about getting an iPod in the US? With the exchange rate it might be cheaper. I bought my iPod in Tokyo last year and it was about £50 cheaper than if I had bought it in the UK. Always looking for a bargain me, so I can spend the rest of the money on something else, just like Richard in Bleak House. Oh, and I finished the Odyssey, which was bloody brilliant, if a little long winded. I think the prose translation was a bit stale, maybe a verse translation would have a better pace. Anyway, thanks for sending it over, and I'll send it back in the New Year with some goodies.
