Does anyone have a recipie for eggnog that uses UK measurements. I quite fancy trying some. Never had it before

Ahaha.. well, do try and tell me how it tastes! In fact, I want photographic evidence so I can snicker at the strange faces you'll make - that is, if you mess up. XD Personally, eggnog tastes strange. Like a mixture of banana pancake batter with milk.

I should probably resize those, but those are scans of a recipe card my sister made for me. The recipe was originally from that cookbook noted on the first page.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

When making this you need to heat the eggs but not cook them.... you want them to be thoroughly heated through so they don't curdle when you mix in the alcohol and there's a lot of alcohol in this so that's a danger.

You also want the sugar dissolved in the egg mixture, that's the other reason to heat the egg mixture thoroughly... I'm not sure that's really spelled out in the recipe.

I think the original recipe has both metric and standard, but that is at home.

A cup is roughly .25 of a liter, if you want to try this recipe...
