I think I'm taking this with a pinch of salt

James doesn't strike me as the sort of person that would be bothered about doing gay scenes. Wasn't he going to be in a gay film with Sean Bean a few years ago? Venetian Heat?

Large dose of salt. He's the one who said Barrowman was a better kisser than SMG.....and from some of the comments he's made I've seen floating around, after various Cons recently...I'm more than skeptical over this little tidbit. Not about the snogging the girlfriend..but the other...lol

Yep. He said it recently while over on your side of the pond, at the con's he was doing, and I think at his Q&A for the album launch (don't quote me on that last one...not positive) Of course that one might come back to bite him in the ass. Oooh...James Ass...ahem, where was I.

Judging from comments I've read (and that's by no means definitive!) I would have thought he'd be far more likely to kiss his girlfriend because he was reassuring her that he wasn't tempted to do more! LOL!!!!

That sounds more like John Barrowman was making a joke and the media tried to make something out of nothing. I can't imagine JM being uncomfortable with anything he does as an actor. He's always pushing the envelope in his roles, and making those cute remarks in interviews that have several possible interpretations, one of which is always dirty! LOL! I love him.

He did mention that he was uncomfortable with the scene, but that John went out of the way to make him feel more comfortable about it.

He also mentioned being surprised with his own homophobia, which says to me that he's an honest guy.

I think that article makes a big thing of nothing, though.

He also said that kissing John has made him be sure to shave closely before kissing a girl, because now he knows what we go through.
