OMG! Wow! Awesome!

After the first page I was already stunned by just how damn good this comic is, especially when you compare to Buffy.

Wesley lives!!! Well, not lives, but he's still there

Angel rode the dragon!!

Gunn kicked ass and took names!

I'm going to be on a high from this for some considerable time. I'm so glad I put in a standing order for this. It sold out on the release day in my comic shop

Now, where are Spike and Illyria?

And when is the next issue out?

Edit: OMG! I totally missed Gunn being a vampire! Dude!

I need more Jossverse icons! I need Faith and Angel at the very least

It was a very awesome comic. I've been reading all the Angel comics for some time and they were hit and miss, but this was a definite hit!

It actually felt like an episode of the show, but obviously they didn't have any budgetary constraints. This is SO much better than the Buffy comic

I have the buffy season 8 comics, but have not read them yet, as I am a slacker....but I did read this one almost as soon as it got to me, and WOW!!! I love it (and OMG! I too missed Gunn is a Vamp, I must go re read!!) And I am SOOOOO glad I did a subscription to this too!! WHEEEE!

I have to say, based only on this first issue, the Angel comic is MUCH better than the Buffy one. But we shall have to see what happens I guess.

...Luckily, my Friendly Local Comic Shop know my tastes, and kept an issue for me without needing to be asked :)

Are we *sure* that's Gunn? I, like everyone else, missed it because the only thing was the clothing. Which could *easily* be a Red Herring.

And we may not have my beloved Fred back (as much as I fanboy for Mr Whedon, I still owe him a slap for taking her away), but at least there's Wesley (and Snarky!Wesley, to boot) which is something.

Illyria will be there soon, of this I am sure. Mr Peroxide's back in #2, which ships around December 19th

Oh, and did you see the back cover? A new Tenth-Doctor Who comic, and soon! Methinks this will require investigation...

I did see the Doctor Who comic but I'm not enough of a fan to get it :(
