An interesting evening

I've just spent the last 3 hours keeping jacqui_hw company at the hospital. She doesn't want me to say what really happened so lets just say she was chasing someone who snatched the purse from an old lady. When she caught up with him he pushed her and she hit her head.

She's fine, mostly, a lump on her head and a bruise but the doctor wasn't worried and just gave her some painkillers.

I had to call 999 for the first time which was a bit of an adventure. I have to say the ambulance people could have been better but the doctor and nurse we saw were both great.

So, it was an interesting evening and I'm pretty wiped now. Going to try and finish my icons and then go to sleep

Edit: Ok, apparently I can say what really happened. She tripped and fell into the door. There was no purse snatching involved ;)

I don't know your friend but I really hope she's ok and not too upset by what happened!

I had to call 999 for the first time a few months ago to report a house fire. It's very odd to know exactly what you're supposed to do in such a situation and then to find yourself doing it when you've never had to before!

I'm still waiting to be able to call the police so that I can collect my Emergency service complete set! Then I can start on the Coastguard, Mountain Rescue etc...
