It's sad that I have to watch Supernatural first on a Friday (or a Monday in this case) so that all my rage/annoyance/disappointment from Smallville doesn't ruin it for me.


I was thinking about SPN the other day after I was talking to bogwitch and she said there has never been a bad episode of this show, unlike most of my other fandoms.

She's right.

SPN is consistently good but I don't get why I haven't formed an emotional attachment to it. I will sit and happily enjoy and episode but it never really grabs me.

Anyway, I think tonight that changed. When Sam told Dean 'I just want you to be my brother again' I was in tears.

THIS is what the show is all about.

Also, gotta love Kripke demonstrating yet again that he'd Whedon's whore. Mercedes Mcnab as a vampire, and the whole PCP excuse. I love that he's such a fanboy

I think this is the best episode of this Seasons so far. For me anyway.

I agree that this was the best episode so far. It totally blew me away, and I cried during that scene too. When those tears welled up in Sam's eyes, I just lost it.

Both Jared and Jensen are such talented actors, I think. Week after week, they turn in amazing performances. I think it's a crime more people aren't watching this show and appreciating J2.

I think it does okay for a show on the CW, a small network, but I think it typically has about 3 million viewers while Grey's and CSI, which are both on at the same time as SPN, each get about 20 million. It's just my personal opinion, but I think the acting on SPN is better than either of those shows. And every year we have to hold our breath and pray SPN gets renewed. I know genre doesn't appeal to everyone, but it kind of kills me that this show doesn't get more recognition.

Yeah, I wonder what the Buffy ratings were like when that was on. That's a similar genre and lasted 7 seasons. LOL

Buffy was averaging about 4 million per episode in its last season on UPN. Smallville is averaging about 4.7 million per episode in its 7th season, and that makes it the highest rated scripted show on the CW (ANTM is the highest rated show overall).

Okay, I'm done showering you with boring statistics now! LOL!

Everyone I've heard from so far also thinks that this episode is the best ep yet. *is in love with it*

Sam getting teary eyed made ME teary eyed, but what killed me was his lower lip trembling. That was it; I was gone. And that last scene? Gone again.

I finally feel like I'm connecting with Dean again. We lost him for a little bit during this season (leaving me plenty of time to fall head over heels for Sam, the rotters), and now I have both boys back and am very happy with the current state of things. ^_^

Hehe, I laughed out loud at the PCP reference. Whedon fans forever! *hearts Kripke for all the Buffy references*
