flickums graduated from uni today. My ickle sister is all growed up *wipes eyes*

It was a lovely ceremony. Much better than mine. John Tams was there getting an honorary doctorate so that was really cool. I have photos which I will post tomorrow.

I have been challenged to write a Hermione/Dawn fic. I'm kind of scared. Dave has been going to a weekly meeting of writers based in York (professional writers) and he told them about my fanfic and one of them asked for Hermione/Dawn. I'm kind of scared. These people get paid to write so they know what they're talking about. This fic needs to be good.

I might need some help from those on my flist who are in both the Buffy and Harry Potter fandoms. Anyone got any ideas for how Dawn and Hermione could meet? I can see Dawn being the rebellious one and leading Hermione astray. Any help (and beta work) would be much appreciated. I'm not going to start it until my Smallville challenges are done though.

I have noticed that I appear to be incapable of writing long paragraphs in my fic. I was just skimming through Runaways and my longest paragraph is only about four sentences. What's going on there. Hmm...

Right, I'm tired so I'm going to read my flist and then go to sleep. It's been a long day and Dad-Ra had me up until midnight last night playing games. I got pwned at Trivial Pursuit yet again but I pwned him at Scene It

You may have already written your Hermoine/Dawn story, but I just wanted to reassure you if you hadn't. Yes, they're getting paid for their writing but that's no guarantee they know what they're talking about. Not every professional writer should be called a writer. *g*
