Photobucket has a Halloween layout. LOL! I love it!

I've also just realised I haven't posted the pics of my trip to the beach with the doggies from last weekend. I'll do that tomorrow.

First, pictures of my cookingness!

The soup turned out pretty well. I had to guess the quantites of some of the ingredients because I wanted to make just enough for me. As it was the soup was probably a little chunkier than it should be but it tasted yummy!

It's really filling though. I made a bowlful and only ate about 1/4 of it with a couple of rolls. I've frozen the rest so my parents can try it some time :)

Oooh. That looks really, really good. It compelled me to make some soup too, though a different kind. Do you post the recipes somewhere? (I know you have the ingredients up there; I tend not to improvise because I can barely boil water heheh)

Hehe! Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] kazzy_cee gave me the recipe

http://www.myhouseandgarden.com/recipes/Pumpkin_Soup.htm but slice up a butternut squash (much smaller than a pumpkin and tastier at this time of year). So simple to roast - cut it up into slices with the skin still on, drizzle oil over it and slam in a hot oven for about 30 minutes until soft. When cooked slice off the skin and then saute like in the recipe (just weigh it before hand then you can reduce the quantities of other other ingredients). You can buy ready-made chicken/veggie stock in the supermarkets now and it's really easy to use.
