Well, that was silly and fun with an underlying hint of creepiness.

It seemed to me that they'd taken a slapstick episode like Tall Tales and kind of merged it with the more serious story of Gordon wanting to kill Sam. I dunno. It didn't really mesh for me and I'd have rather seen one story or the other as a seperate episode.

Bella's accent was fairly bad. Sounded like she went to Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft school of accents. It was totally obvious she'd stolen the scratch cards at the end. But I liked the story.

Best line: "I lost my shoe"

Hee! Jared looked so sad and forlorn, like a little kiddie. It amused me a lot.

Close behind that: "I'm Batman."

Yes, Dean, you are *ruffles hair*

I actually thought this episode was funnier than Tall Tales (although I liked that episode too). I think it was because the comedy was based on the rules of their supernatural world, rather than pure over-the-top silliness.

The scene between Dean and Bela at her apartment was fun. He was so smooth! Then, once he had the foot, I loved how Dean made the best of a bad thing, embracing the good luck and using it to maximum advantage. Batman, indeed! I also liked how he made Bela catch the foot at the graveyard so she'd have to let them burn it. I wondered about Bela's accent - a lot of people are saying how bad it was, but I thought the actress was British. Does that mean she's putting on a different accent than her own, like a regional one or something?

Jared was hilarious throughout, I thought. Sam's never been more of a puppy! LOL!

That Jesus guy creeped me out big time! Look out, boys!

BTW, did you catch how Jared was totally cracking up and had to turn away from the camera when Dean yelled, "sonofabitch!" at the very end? hee!

Icon love!!!! All that needs is some text saying *pout* Did you make it?

I checked on IMDB and the actress playing Bela is American. She's opted to use a generic 'posh' accent which very few people actually use over here.

Jared was hilarious. He totally made this episode, even more than Dean when he had all the luck *g*

I just watched the end again and OMG Jared is totally cracking up. That's so funny!

Oh, I couldn't make an icon to save my life! I get them from talented, generous people like you. :) I snagged this one from anteka, and I've seen tons of them over the past two days - that image just screams for an icon, doesn't it?

Oh, so she is an American. Someone posted that she sounds like Hermione in the HP movies. It's funny, we have tons of British actors playing Americans on shows this season (House started a trend!), and I never can tell which accents are real and which are fake. It's the same with Americans doing whatever foreign accent they're doing. I'm clueless!

Jared has been completely awesome this season. He's blowing me away, week after week.

I think Bela's accent was okay, just out of place, i.e. she's using RP when even people like Zara Phillips don't speak like that now. I kept thinking I might sound a bit like that if I was living in the US, I started speaking a bit posh when I lived in South Africa - I really didn't want to pick the accent up and I ended up emphasising my Englishness. She did sound wrong though.

Hmm. I think you might be right. I think expanding the universe the way they are is screwing with the feel of the show.

I must admit I am guilty of talking more posh when I'm in the US but I don't go as far as RP. I think Americans just think that's how we all talk over here. LOL

Any impression of how british people REALLY sound like for me comes mainly from such movies as 'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Layer Cake'. Oh, and the Spice Girls. Is that closer to real life brit accents?

LOL I suppose it's much like here in the States, where even though you all sound relatively the same, you can definitely tell a difference from the different regions. Does anyone have the equivalency of a Texas accent over there?

I loved this episode so much. Dean and Sam and the ice cream brain freeze and the shoe and the AC catching on fire and "I'm Batman" and...*flails*

T'was good. Both Bela and Ruby are far cooler then I thought they'd be, so a point for each in Kripke's direction.

And I'm glad they're easing into the whole Gordon thing with a bit of light-heartedness. We'll have our angst, TRUST me.

I have to say I had no expectations for Bela and Ruby since I didn't even know about them until they appeared on the show. Ruby is kind of annoying but I think she's supposed to be. I get pissed off with anyone who doesn't give straight answers. LOL.

I think I like Bela but I will need to see more of her
