The first thing I realised is that I like Lana a lot more when she doesn't talk. LOL. The scene where she was reunited with Clark was quite lovely.

I think, though, if it had been anyone else defending Kara to Clark I would have liked it but I've been burned too many times in past so it just came across as being St Lana.

Lex has his balls handed to him on a plate yet again. "Oh, Lana, you're so perfect and smart and I still love you and please forgive me and come back to the mansion for you are brilliant and outsmarted me in every way possible."

*pukes*

Is Lana a millionairess now then? Because Lex doesn't seem to want his money back.

WHY DOES NO ONE CARE THAT SHE FRAMED HIM FOR MURDER??!! OMG!

Kara continues to be made of win. She is so absolutely the best thing about this show this Season. I just love her so much!

I need an icon of her in her pretty dress and tiarra

And huzzah for more implied Clex. Lex so clearly still loves Clark but will settle for Kara as a Clark substitute. LOL. Am I wrong for wanting to ship Kara/Lex? What would that be anyway? Kalex?

And, hey, I'd read spoilers for this episode months ago and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought.

Kara/Lex = KarLex = bad.

Kal-El/Lex = KaLex = good.

*grin*

Hehe! I would definitely prefer KaLex to KarLex but you have to keep your options open ;)

I MISSED IT! This happened to me last week too, it comes on at 7 PM here and then Supernatural comes on at 8. And somehow I didn't remember until it was half over! *growls*

But I have it on my computer and will watch it later. I'm glad people are liking Kara - and that there's been a SLIGHT Clex revival.

It may only be slight but I'm hoping it will spawn a whole wave of new fics :)

This was a lot better than I'd originally thought it would be, from reading the spoilers a while back.
I thought it was hilarious that Lex was the only one who implied that everything Lana did wasn't neccesarily ethical, and that Clark probably wouldn't approve. lol.
And, oh yeah...Lex totally still loves Clark. *giggle*
Kara is cool. I totally dug the scene where she exploded the watermelon all over Clark. ROFLMAO! I want an icon of THAT!

Hee! That was funny! Clark was all goopy!

No, no, no! *flails* He did the contrition and guilt thing, but in the end he totally called her out for stealing his money and threatened to tell Clark. And he yet again commended her on her evilness: Lex is way over Lana. Now it's just games between Luthors.

Kara/Lex is great, isn't it? I loved how confidently Lex approached her :D

Yeah, I liked it when he called her on stealing the money but did he have to tell her yet again how brilliant she is?

Well, say what you want, but Lana isn't half bad at this evil gig. And I guess that irks her a little, because she'd like to be Miss Perfect and Lex knows it and so he tortures her by gushing about what a wonderful evil genius she is and how he - the bad guy - admires her. That's how I fanwank it into submission, anyways *gg*

Hehe! Now that I like!

I think writing a snippet for this episode is going to be easy *g*

When I saw Lana coming into the barn I screamed to the TV, "Run Away! Run Away!" Then I thought of you. :D

I think the actress playing Kara is beautiful. **Barbie Crush!** She does give some spark to this last year.

I honestly do wish Lana blew up, what use is her character anymore? She was Clark's first love. Now that the show is in it's last year, it is time for him to be interested in Lois and get rid of Lana. Though I would love Lex to be torn between the Kent Cousins.

Hee! I think Lex IS torn between the Kent cousins. He is in my head anyway ;)

Brilliant episode / fucking awful episode.

I'm not sure which - it wasn't in between though.

Kara is indeed made of win - Kara may be my favourite character, and who's teaching who? Is Clark teaching Kara, or is Kara teaching Clark? I mean she that stuff about him staying on the farm growing old with Blahna, and then he seemed to have this weird look when Lana was telling him they should do just that.

Also - I need to watch season six again, I don't remember Clark revealing his secret to Lana. Just that she'd seen the bent screw driver. Maybe I was caught up in other events to realise it was all out in the open.

I think though - Kara counteracts Lana. So in those terms, brilliant episode.

It just struck me as really odd - for half the episode I was hoping Clark was just imagining Lana there (a bit like how Sean does with Escobar in Nip/Tuck, even though Escobar isn't dead)... then Lex came and spoilt it all. Which is wrong on so many levels, Lex can't walk in and spoil my dreams... that's just a twisted use of an excellent character.

It's amazing how everything is swept away, just for Lana's return. Chloe had an excuse, she was trying to put Lionel behind bars, and her faked death was orchestrated by the DA's office to protect her. Lana - she stole money, and ran out on Lex, after framing him for murder. Not only that, but she did try to kill him - and she broke Clark's heart.

But she's forgiven. She's forcing Clark to lie to Chloe, which will drive a wedge between their friendship, which isn't fair.

Oh wait, there is more than Lana on the fucking awful episode side - WTF are they playing at with Chloe? She's never been all gung ho, all meteor freaks are bad and evil. So why is that fact, that in some way she's meteor infected suddenly causing her to be a pathetic biatch, to have no aspirations to be afraid of following a story? That's not Chloe, that's a way to make her an unpopular character so they can shunt her off - and that just isn't fair. Meh.

However, on the awesome side - even though Clark didn't have the massive part in this episode (it was mostly about Kara trying to fit in, and reconciling who she is, with who she has to be), he was made of awesome. It's like having Jonathan back, all over again. He does need to get it sorted though - it's okay to be like you're father, but you have to offer some freedom. Jonathan learnt that, now you have to, to Clark.

I've decided, I don't like Jimmy... and I don't really like that both Chloe and Kara like him - there's something just not right about him. Maybe it's because the writers are using him to keep hitting Chloe with a big wet fish called self doubt and fear which are going to drive her further out of stories.

Lex - he's not right either at the moment. And what's this talk of twice now, a kent's saved his life? Try again fella, it's a few more times than twice that you've to thank Clark, not even counting the secret times.

I get the feeling in a couple of episodes, the fact that Lana died will be forgotten - this makes me sad. Everything back to normal - or nearly. Lex will be doing a weird pining after Lana thing - while at the same time obsessing over Kara. It's obvious there's more than just gratitude at saving his life there... did you see the way he looked at her?

"Well if I can't have Clark, I'll happily settle for the gorgeous other Kent in town" *grins*

Yeah, shipping Kara and Lex wouldn't be a bad thing :)

Just can't make up my mind about this episode - Lana/Chloe stuff spoilt what would have been fantastic. But it was fantastic, other than that.

I mostly liked it I think.

RE Season 6 the episodes you need to watch are Promise (my sympathies. I will never watch that one ever again) and Phantom

Promise is where Lana sees Clark use his powers. Phantom is where she tells him she knows about it

I mostly liked it - actually in parts I loved it. But I think I'm in love with Kara, so that helps :D

I think more than anything, even Lana being back - what's happened to Chloe pisses me off. I loved Chloe, she was fantastic, the Krypto-hag extraordinairé, now she's a shell of her former self. To be fair, she did resurrect Lois, then die, then come back to life again - maybe she'll get better?

I watched those episodes lol - and I really don't remember much about Lana in them - other than when she dies. Strange really, isn't it? Lana qualifies for the same psychological treatment as a bomb in my brain. Heh. When I look back on Smallville, when I'm in my 30's or something, Lana will just be a vast blank spot - and Smallville will rock fully :D

Hee!

I am also sad with what they're doing with Chloe and am clinging to the fact it will be part of some master plan to have her kick ass again

The sad reality is that now Lana knows Clark's secret the writers probably don't think Chloe is needed any more

It's not right - she has the potential to be a non-cannon superheroine, and that's a good thing.

Or they could forget about her powers, they're not overtly manifest, and a convenient deux ex machine for a later time when they need to save someone's life again.

She's a staple character, and the one person Clark can rely on in the whole crazy world. Lana he's got too many issues with, even if she knows the truth. His father won't let him trust Kara too much - that much is obvious. Lex, sadly, there's too much gone between them now. Though I did love Lex's line about how he'd protect Clark, if Clark had been honest with him, Heee! *sighs* what might have been...

I know :(

I do believe that if Clark had trusted Lex in the early days thing would have been ok

But it wouldn't have been Superman - things wouldn't have worked properly - sadly.

Though that's no excuse for Blahna. Chloe should have been Lana, really

Lex + water + Kryptonians + ripping roofs off cars = OTP forever!!!!
