Well, I mostly liked this episode.

Lois is all set to become the hardened reporter we all want her to be, seemingly under the influence of the new editor (who is WAY too young. Does his daddy own The Planet?) who wants her to ignore the feelings of others and write good stories

I feel bad for Chloe though. I know Lois needs to surpass Chloe as a reporter but I still feel bad

I liked the Clois scene at the start of the episode. I just wanted to cuddle them both.

Kara is nowhere near as bad as I thought she was going to be. In fact I feel really bad for her and want to give her a cuddle.

The Lexana scene made me want to gouge out my eyes and then choke when I vomit from the pain. Seriously.

And I am intrigued by suited man with Kara's crsytal who works for the President. What's going on there.

So, I'd say if you ignore the Lexana it was a good episode. LOL

Now I need to decide what I want to write for this weeks snippet

This was a good week for Lois fans. :)

I would also love to know who are the suites who grabbed the crystal and what are their plans.

Kara was amazing, loved her in all the scenes with Clark.

Me too! This is because I was all prepared to hate her. LOL

It's too bad William B. Davis was already the mayor of Smallville. He would have been a perfect suited man :)

I liked the Lexana, cause I liked Lex in the scene. Though it looks like he has a new obsession (to fight with Clark over).

In the alternate universe, Alexander Luther and Supergirl were an item, as they were briefly in this universe as well (or at least Lex's brain in his new, younger cloned body).

I liked the Lexana, cause I liked Lex in the scene.

Urgh! I hated him

"Lana, you are so smart and brilliant and perfect and way smarter than me. Here, have my balls on a plate."

Aw, *phtwt* Lana. I liked it because Michael was good, and I think Lex can be a better person than his genes and upbringing would indicate. Sort of like this bleached blond guy I used to know.

Lex was like that 3 seasons ago maybe. These days I don't think the writers have a clue what they're doing with him. Personally I think Michael looks tired and a bit fed up with the whole thing, and judging by the interviews I've read, he is.

The more I read about this season and the one before, the worse I feel for poor Chloe. Can't they do something good with her other than have her be a shell of her former self?

I suspect they are going to do what they did with Pete and have Chloe suffer for Clark's secret to the point where she decides to leave. The reason her reporting is suffering is because she's ignoring all the interesting stories in case they point to Clark

Poor Chloe :(

Maybe she'll feel better about things when her boyfriend gets out of just the credits and into the show.

She'll probably leave the Planet and get Lois' old job on the Inquisitor.

Poor Chloe. Reduced to working at The Inquisitor to protect Clark :(

Maybe she'll have the 4 kids and extra 40lbs life that Gabriel was talking to Lois about :(

I agree with the 'poor Chloe' sentiment. Chloe has gotten the shaft since day one.

The weird guy with the crystal, the very end he walked into the department for homeland security offices with it in a case. My guess, they will bring the Government in on the weirdness, they have been working on the super soldiers with Luthor Corp. so they are aware of some of the meteor rock capabilities. It makes sense that if they are willing to work with the private sector they are also doing some under the code experiments themselves.

This may be a great twist for the season!

Something about Kara makes me cry.

Laura Vandervoort carries so much emotion in her eyes. Maybe she will have a tragic quality about her after all. She's sooo much better than Lois - it's a shame her and Clark are cousins, she'd be so good for him. Klex, that might be something good to see.

I did like like Lex in this one - he's snapped out of the evolz for a bit, and he really does hate what he becomes, it's sad that he wants to die though.

Bad that Lana's alive! However, the alternative was that either Lex, or Lionel killed her. Either way, that cements Lex into the evil role, badly. Lex shouldn't be evil because of Lana, it's not right. Though would have been good if Lionel had killed her - it'd have been like Jor-El doing a universal bitch slap on the bitch for messing his son around. hehe

I like Kara, shame she's only in it for a few episodes - and they're doing the whole is she good, or bad type deal. I thought that was going to be for the first episode or two before we officially know who she is. But no - they're going to carry it on for the whole series.

Meanwhile - yep government guys. Given all the freaky stuff that's happened, been witnessed, and corporate interest in old little town of Smallville, the government had to get involved at some point. They've got the crystal, but there's not much they can do it, let's face it it's indestructible, and has to be activated. Like Clark's crystal that built the real Fortress of Solitude.

Which reminds me - absorbing nuclear explosions? Guess must just have been a special type from the ship, as Superman always has to bury it, throw it into space, or stop it exploding in the first place.

Kara's cool though, I like her - maybe even love her. I didn't know what to expect, but a character that sad, that lost - and still strong, she's got depth.

Wow you already made some pretty Kara icons.

And, yes, the Lexana scene was incredibly horrifiyngly bad.

I'm always waay late with your posts, but I have one question:

Why the heck did Kara not know that Clark was Kal-El? Everyone's always telling Clark that he "looks just like his father."

That being said, I ♥ Kara!!! I really do, I thought I wouldn't.

I thought I would hate her too but so far she's the best thing about this series.

Regarding your question I have no idea. LOL. I never even thought of that. Hell, Tom Welling even played Jor-El in that flashback episode
