I trundled all the way to the sorting office after work today. All in all it takes about an hour from me leaving work to getting home. It's a long walk.

So, I paid my customs fee and got my parcel. It was my Heroes DVDs. YAY! Not what I was expecting but still, YAY.

Got home and there's a card saying I have ANOTHER package to pick up and another fee to pay. Looks like my Cafepress stuff has arrived on the last possible day

I mean, even with the fee to pay it's still cheaper for me to buy DVDs from the US but it's a pain in the arse having to walk to the sorting office all the time. I'm going to have to go again tomorrow.

Still, it will be the last time until my Smallville and Doomsday DVDs show up and they're not due for another 3 weeks or so.

At least yours go to the sorting office... my Sharpe, special collection of 15 disks got to go back to the courier's house(!!) until they tried to deliver it again. Thank God my neighbour was in at the time or it would then have been sent back to some other depot and then Amazon.

I hate courier companies. Give me good old Royal Mail, anyday!

Yeah, Royal Mail are good when they don't lose your stuff ;)

Guess I can consider myself lucky, I buy DVDs from the UK (and occasionally other EU contries) and from Australia all the time, and never yet had to pay a customs fee. How cool is that? lol
