I had a Eureka moment last night when I was trying to get to sleep and realised exactly what was missing from my recently completed fic. There's a key scene, which was kind of the inspiration for the whole story, that I somehow forgot to write. I am an idiot. At least I figured out why I felt so unsatisfied when I 'finished' it on Friday.

I've made a start on editing the stuff I've already written and I have a beta on standby so things are progressing nicely. I'm honestly in awe of people who post fics without a beta. I don't know if it's a confidence thing but unless it's something really short like a Tumblr prompt fill I absolutely can't post a fic without someone else checking it over first.

I should probably do some more editing this afternoon but I'm kind of itching to finish The Lost Tomb Reboot. I've only got 4 episodes left so I could totally get it done today. Maybe I'll do that and then tomorrow can be a writing/editing day.

As planned [twitter.com profile] madamoisellebon and I started Lost Tomb 1 last night. One of my mutuals on Twitter specifically asked me to tweet my reactions so I took some notes and did a retrospective Twitter thread.

We had a lot of fun streaming My Strange Friend last night. It still makes very little sense but when you're doing a group watch that doesn't really matter. We had 11 of us on the stream last night which was so much fun. I love that technology lets a group of people from various countries (I think we had the UK, Germany, France and US representing) watch a TV show together like that. We all laughed a lot.

This morning I watched another episode of Street Dance of China with the Australians and, again we had people from the UK, Europe and the US also watching. We all got a bit emotional towards the end and if a bunch of people from a variety of countries all crying down their microphones over a dance show isn't representative of fandom I don't know what is.
