Argh!

So just before I went on holiday a promotion vacancy came up at work. I considered it briefly and decided that a) my technical skills weren't up to par and b) I kind of like working shifts as it gives me time to do my Random Acts work.

Didn't really think more on it but when I got back one of the guys who will be doing the interviews pulled me aside and asked me why I hadn't applied. I told him my reasons and he asked me to reconsider as he felt I'd be a good match for the role.

He's just asked me to reconsider again even though the closing date was 10 days ago and said he'd make a case for accepting a late application.

Thing is I still don't know that I want to go back to working Mon-Fri 9-5. My shift job is pretty cushty with the night shifts being quiet and allowing me time to do RA work as well as the paid stuff.

I dunno. I'm a bit worried if I don't apply it'll look like I'm not interested in progressing within the company, but if I do I'm worried I'll wind up with a job I don't really want

This is one of my favourite Clint/Coulson writers and I love everything about this fic. Phil is a badass, Sitwell is awesome and Clint is Clint :D

Given the circumstances, it’s not terribly surprising that Clint drops the coffee mug he’s been using to water the houseplants and jumps a foot backwards in sheer astonishment.
