This is a really neat idea. Part canon and part AU but it all fits together just perfectly

"That little shit," Jasper snarls, throwing himself in the seat across from Phil in the mess hall, glasses slightly askew and eyes sporting that look Phil has come to associate with a certain specialist recently collected into SHIELD's fold.
This is one of my favourite Clint/Coulson writers and I love everything about this fic. Phil is a badass, Sitwell is awesome and Clint is Clint :D

‘You’ll drown their roots, watering them that much,’ Phil says.
Given the circumstances, it’s not terribly surprising that Clint drops the coffee mug he’s been using to water the houseplants and jumps a foot backwards in sheer astonishment.
This is just really sweet and a lovely idea
