I love this fandom

You know, for all the wank, crazy and extreme shippiness that goes on in the SPN fandom I seriously can't think of one better.

How many fandoms get the level of interaction from the cast and crew that we do? Seriously. I mean are other fandoms out there like this? I know it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but I'm Facebook friends with several of the actors from the show, I've had tweet conversations with several of the actors, one director and Danneel. Hell, I'm playing Words With Friends with Todd Stashwick right now (I'm winning but only just).

I can't work out whether it's just because social networking sites weren't really a big deal during my other fandoms. Twitter only really became a big thing after I was involved in SPN fandom which is where most of the interaction happens.

I really don't know what will happen when SPN ends. I just can't imagine the feeling of closeness and community in another fandom. I mean I'm used to having that feeling with other fans but I'm talking about people involved in the show too. It really does feel like a big family (maybe that's why there's so much bickering).

In the past I said I wished SPN would end so the actors (Misha) could go on to do exciting new things.

Today I realised I'm not ready for it to be over. I'm not ready to find a new fandom.

Thank God for S7 I guess, because no matter what happens on the show I will always treasure the fandom.
