So our phone line died on Saturday and the internet has been working intermittently (and VERRRRY slowly) since then. An engineer came out today and was a very nice man. Technically we should have been charged because the fault was with the socket but the guy replaced the socket and told his superiors that it was an external cabling fault so we didn't get charged anything. He said he didn't like people being charged for a simple fix, especially this close to Christmas. A lovely random act of kindness. We had a nice chat actually as he is looking to move into IT so we talked about qualifications and whatnot.

I had disturbing dreams last night. In one of them Crowley owne my soul and would only give it back if I convinced 20 other people to sell theirs to him. I got quite upset by this.

But even more disturbing was the dream where Gaius (from Merlin) got into bed with me and started trying to snuggle. I kicked him out and yelled at him for molesting me but he didn't understand why it was a problem.

Is it possible to divorce your 'friends'? And by friends I mean

I was browsing through my LJ this evening and I found the con report I did after I met Misha for the first time. With the gift of hindsight I can be amused at how terrified I was. LOL.

Tomorrow, after applying for more jobs, I am going to start my Dean/Cas Xmas exchange fic. I have a concrete plot bunny now after weeping for weeks because the prompts weren't inspiring me. I'm actually pretty excited about it.

Obviously it needs more Misha but at least she finally acknowledges that Jared is the hotter of J2. Soon you all will too.

Current Mood: tired

So the day started off badly with a call telling me I didn't get the job I interviewed for on Friday. Apparently I was second choice but they went with someone with financial qualifications

But literally five minutes after that I got a call from the other place (the one I posted about yesterday) and they offered me a two month fixed contract with the possibility of going permanent after that. Methinks this is like a trial period but I guess it is for me too so I can see what I make of the job

Anyway I start on Monday so at least I'll have some money coming in and I can stop stressing about Christmas and maybe having to move back in with my parents

Just have to hope it goes well. Going to spend the rest of the week refreshing my IT knowledge

So, I am somewhat amused that just before I went to bed last night I had this conversation with

I then had a dream that Misha was teaching me wilderness survival in a rainforest including how to make shelter out of a tree.

And then when I wake up I find this on his Twitter

Putting aside the fact that he is clearly tuned into my brain how awesome is this video? God, it must be amazing to be part of a group of friends who just randomly decide to do stuff like that.
