Writer's Block: Reflections

You know what? I think 2009 has actually been pretty much one of the best years of my life. Nothing disastarous happened, I still have my job, I had two brilliant holidays abroad and a load more excellent trips in the UK. I met Bradley James, Colin Morgan, Angel Coulby, Katie McGrath and Misha Collins. I had an amazing 30th birthday party and I got closer to flickums through the medium of mutual SPN love. I made new friends, kept the awesome ones I already had and wrote more than I ever have before.

I can't think of a single thing I would change.

I would totally do this year over again if I could.

Next year is going to be harder I think. I'll be becoming unemployed somewhere around the middle of the year and I don't think any job is going to match the one I have at the moment (my boss lets me bring my laptop to work and play on the internet all day) and Jacqui and I will be looking to move house which is always stressful.

But I shall do my best to take it in my stride. I'm sure it'll be a good year for the most part.

Favorite story this year (of my own): Definitely Misha Collins Makes A Match. I know I moaned and groaned about it a lot while I was writing it but I never would have got it done if I hadn't loved writing it

Most popular story this year, in my opinion: What Dreams May Come

Most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Nothing Says 'Thank You' Like A Threesome. I don't know if it's because it's not very good or people just aren't into the threesome thing but it got barely any comments.

Most fun story: Crossed Wires I think

Sexiest story: Nothing Says 'Thanks You' Like A Threesome

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Have Your Cake (And Eat It) because a chocolate eclair should never be used as a sex toy. LOL!

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Take My Hand (And Lead Me Through The Fire really helped me get inside Castiel's head which was an...interesting experience. LOL

Hardest story to write: Misha Collins Makes A Match only because I to do stacks of research for it. LOL!

Biggest disappointment: I still don't think Threat Released was quite as good as it should have been

Biggest surprise: People liked Birds of a Feather

Most telling story: I think A Writer's Best Friend says more about me than any of my other fics for obvious reasons

Overall: You can see where my new fandom came into play when you look at my fic list. I kind of wish I'd written a little more Smallville fic this year but that's just where the muses took me

Ambitions for next year: My ambition is to have no ambitions. LOL!
