I actually got this recipe from msmollusk but it's yummy and I've made it for loads of people now

Chocolate Sauce Cake

60g (2oz. or 1/4 cup) butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup self-raising flour
1 tablespoon cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
---------------------
EXTRA:
1/2 cup sugar, extra
1 tablespoon cocoa, extra
1 1/2 cups hot water

Cream butter with sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add egg, beat well. Fold in sifted flour and cocoa alternately with milk.
*Place mixture into greased ovenproof dish.
*Sift the combined extra sugar and cocoa over the mixture.
*Pour hot water over very gently.
*Bake in moderate oven 35-40mins. (I put it on about 160degrees for 45mins but my oven is brand new)

It's very sweet, so I always have it with thickened cream or ice cream.

Wow, that was an intense last minute slog but I DID IT! WOOYAY!

For the record I will not be doing anything like this next year. This was a challenge to myself but I did find it made writing more stressful than it should be. Besides, I want to devote a bit more time to icon making next year.

So, I want a few days off from writing now and then I've got an M2 challenge fic to write for m2_homegoods, my DWB charity fic for beth23 and the next installation of the writer!Jensen 'verse.
