After The Tone

God, this broke my heart when I was reading it but it has a happy ending. Come on, you know I'd never rec a fic that doesn't end well. Watch the nifty trailer for it too. I love the idea of fic trailers. There should be more of them in other fandoms

I think My Delicious page is done now. I've gone back and added reccer's comments to as many as I could. The comments have just been copied from my LJ so nothing new there. I may go back and add some extra tags if I think of any I want to use.

I'll be continuing to rec to LJ in case you were wondering. The Delicious page is just a backup really

2. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark - Campbell Black
3. The Complete Fairy Tales - Brothers Grimm
4. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - James Kahn
5. The Cranford Chronicles - Elizabeth Gaskell
6. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Rob MacGregor
7. Three Men in a Boat - Jerome K. Jerome
8. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - John Berendt

It was interesting to go back and read this again. It's very rare for me to read a book more than once because, quite frankly, there are more good books out there than I will have time to read in my lifetime so I don't see the point wasting time on something I've read already.

I was curious about this though. I read it when I was 16 and absolutely loved it. I cited it as my favourite book for a long time and I couldn't remember why.

Reading it again I can certainly see why it would have appealed to a 16 year old me. This was before I had ever travelled anywhere and it's a fascinating look at a city that's rich in history (by American standards) and full of wonderfully colourful and diverse characters. To me, back then, it was like looking into another world.

I enjoyed it on a second read but I think that a little of the magic is lost now that I'm older and have seen more of the world.

Next on the list is Ramage by Dudley Pope. I've already started reading it and it's amazing so far! Both my parents recommended this to me as they read it when they were my age. Good call.

I promised Dave I would pimp his website and writing blog so here they are.

He's a very good writer. He's had dozens of short stories published, including one in an anthology that included stories by Neil Gaiman, George R. R. Martin and Joe Hill.

He's just got finished on the first draft of his first novel. I've read bits of it and it's good

If you like any of his stories please take the time to send feedback. I know he'll appreciate it

Before I go to France at the end of the month I want to get some sort of universal charger that will charge my phone and my iPod. Any recommendations?

What's the biggest size SD card you can get and where's the cheapest place to shop for them?

I just spent about half an hour composing a meta post about SPN RPF coupled with things that were said at Asylum and then decided I can't post it because it's just going to cause masses of wank

So, that was a total waste of time.

No sign of Misha on Twitter. I hope Asylum didn't break him :-s
