I forgot to rant
Oct. 10th, 2008 03:48 pmThere is a really nice reservoir near where my parents live, or it's nice most of the time.
The problem is that a lot of kids (teenagers I mean) drive up there or walk up from the nearby village to party and/or camp out. They rarely clean up after themselves, or their version of cleaning up is to chuck all their rubbish into the water
This is where we have the problem. Max likes water. A lot. He likes to jump in and swim around.
My parents took both the doggies up there a couple of days ago and Max did his usual thing of bounding into the water. He came running out a minute later howling in pain with blood pouring from his leg. He'd cut himself on a broken bottle someone had chucked in. He's severed a tendon and has had his leg stiched and bandaged.
Luckily the vet says he's going to be ok. He just needs to rest and let it heal. Fergus has realised something is wrong and has stopped his usual play-fighting with Max
Poor boy :(
If I ever get my hands on the twattish idiots that threw that bottle in there. It could have been so much worse
Needless to say my parents aren't going to be walking the dogs up there any more

I just read my very first Merlin fic and it's by the wonderful
elandrialore who has also written some of my favourite Clex fics \o/
Not a Prince, Not Yet a King
Also, I'm SO excited about tomorrow's episode of epic gay love. Anyone else?

Friday \o/
Oct. 10th, 2008 10:25 pmIt's Friday! And I have the weekend ALL to myself. It feels like forever since I had a weekend to myself and I think in reality it's been about a month. No wonder I feel so exhausted.
I have nothing to do this weekend except catch up on all the TV I'm behind on. I'm having to be a bit cut-throat with what I watch because I just don't have the time to keep up. 90210 has been chopped. Knight Rider has gone without me having seen a single episode.
As it stands this is what I'm watching this year and in brackets is what I have to watch this weekend
True Blood (4 episodes)
Chuck (1 episode)
T:SCC (1 episode)
Heroes (1 episode)
Fringe (0 episodes)
Pushing Daisies (2 episodes)
Smallville (1 episode)
Supernatural (1 episode)
Since I'm still working my way through Season 1 of Gossip Girl that's kind of been put to one side until I've watched everything I'm behind on. I might be able to squeeze the next episode in over the weekend if I have time
I'm hoping to do a bit of writing and make my Asylum bases too but I'm not sure I'll have time

Well, that was ok. There were some amusingly slashy undertones, my favourite being Clark's dream where Lex is standing between him and Lana so he gets down on his knees in front of Lex. My mind certainly filled in the blanks ;)
At the end of the day I'd rather read fanfic though
Next on the list is Doctor Who: Drift by Simon A. Forward. This was a gift from
innae and is registered at BookCrossing. I've already registered with them and filled in my bit. I'll be sure to pass it on when I'm done. If anyone wants it holler, otherwise it'll be going to a charity shop.
