Meh

Still no internet at home. ISP says it's nothing to do with them so we reckon it's a problem with the modem/router. Getting a new one today and if that doesn't fix it I seriously don't know what to do. I've tried everything I can think of.

Funnily I'm not going crazy without it though. Apart from when I want to post pics of my sims. LOL. It also means I'm a bit useless in the week running up to writerconuk which isn't ideal.

I've got sucked into the US version of The Office. I love Jim and Pam almost as much as I loved Tim and Dawn. Maybe more so because Jim is prettier ;)

Dwight makes me cringe when he makes all these geeky references which I instantly get. I nearly fell off my chair when he quoted Smallville. LOL.

Last night was spent playing with my Sims. Spike decided he wanted to have sex in a public place and it took me HOURS to get him and Buffy to do it in a clothing booth. LOL. I want them to get married but neither of them wants to yet.

Going for a chinese with Ros tonight (hopefully) so that'll be nice :)

Seriously, how did that happen?

I'd love to be debt free by the time I'm 30 but with my student loan and other stuff that's not going to happen.

Aside from that I'm pretty much happy. I like my job, I'm finally earning enough money to be comfortably well off (until I start driving lessons. LOL) and I've got lots of trips to new places (mostly in the US but hey) on the horizon.

I've been to the Caribbean which was one of my lifes aims and aside from that I can't really think of anything I'm desperate to do. I'm quite content really

I would like to own my own house and have a cat but realistically I can't afford to do that. I'd need to save up at least £10,000 for a decent deposit and there's no way I could manage that in 2 years. Especially when all my savings will be going on driving lessons for about a year of that.

I don't mind. Feasibly I could be in my own place by the time I'm 40 but really I don't mind. So long as I live somewhere nice I don't mind if it's rented or owned. Lots of rented places let you keep pets and that would be enough for me :)

Wow, this post has wound up being a lot longer than I planned. LOL.

Writings

One of the plus sides of my internet falling over and me feeling ill on Sunday was that I decided to go for a walk. In the end I walked along the river for a while, found a nice bench and started my CLFF fic. It's a bit wishy-washy at the moment but I'm hoping I'll be able to tighten it up when it comes to editing.

I also had another plot bunny hop into my head last night and with it comes a question. Lionel in Season 5. I don't get him. I know that he's an agent for Jor-El now but my question is this: If it came down to Lionel having to choose between Clark and Lex who would it be? I really don't get Lionel's motivations now he's not just the evil, bastard father. LOL.

Something I have noticed about my CLFF fics is that they don't get anywhere near as many comments as my other stuff. Mostly, I suspect, because a lot of people have read them on the website already and don't want to read them again. It's kind of sad for me as a feedback whore, because people on CLFF rarely give feedback. I had a couple of e mails and the comments I got when I posted to LJ and that was it.

And my writerconuk fic was not very popular. LOL. I'm guessing because it was a crossover. I dunno. Feels like a wasted effort getting it done though. Yes, I'm feeling sorry for myself again. LOL

Sims update

Well, a fair amount has happened in Simville while I've been offline (and don't I wish I'd called my town that. Damn my slow-wittedness!)

Ok, not that much really. LOL.

Buffy and Spike are as in love as ever and Spike has now got a kink for doing it in public. Spike has taken over as the town ho now that Tom is a devoted family man. He keeps trying to kiss Tom and Tom is not amused. Buffy seems to want to have sex with Spike at least once a day and she doesn't even have the romance aspiration. LOL. Well, can't blame her!

Clark has now grown into a teenager and he wants to get into private school too. I'm hoping he and Rose will be best friends since they can't be boyfriend/girlfriend.

Rose just got into private school so she's all pleased. She wants to write a novel to makes some money but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I think maybe she needs a desk and/or a computer.

Sam and Dean have just moved into the neighbourhood but haven't done anything as I haven't furnished their house yet. The first thing Sam tried to do was hug Dean and Dean pushed him away. LOL. Just like the show!
