Last day in my current job today. Not even a last day really as I'm finishing at lunchtime to use up the last of my flexi. As I said yesterday it's not going to be a very productive day as I have no computer but I can finish clearing out my desk and maybe sneakily write some fanfic

I've got a couple of Buffyverse bunnies hopping around in my head. One of them is a Christmas Spuffy and the other is a gen fic. Need to finish Press-Ganged first though.

I just got presented with a £20 gift voucher for HMV. Wasn't sure what to buy for myself but I think I'll get Dead Man's Chest.

Well, I'm done after 5 VERY long years of doing some of the most boring work ever. Now I get to play with computers, which may also be boring, but it'll be interesting while I'm learning stuff at least and I get paid more *g*

Was mildly insulted at my farewell speech to learn that there are no amusing stories about me which means I am boring. LOL. Although later I was told by the guy who did my speech that he knew about the bet creepy guy in my office made with Greg but he didn't want to repeat it in front of everyone even though he thought it was hilarious. Hehe.

Right, I'm going to watch Heroes and then I'm off to get my hair cut and coloured. Who bets Mohinder is dumb again this week *raises hand*

Stuff

Had my hair done and it's all pretty and red and vibrant and SO soft. The woman who cut it isn't my usual girl and she was great. She wasn't bothered about all that mindless chit chat that I dread when I get my hair cut. She talked a bit about what she was doing to my hair and we chatted about Christmas and the rest was just nice and quiet. I wish I'd got her name so I could ask for her again. I even gave a £5 tip which I NEVER do (because I am tight).

Went to HMV to spend my gift vouchers and Dead Man's Chest was SO expensive. Nearly £17. Pfft! I can buy it in a Supermarket for less than £10 (see above tight comment). So I left it and I'll have a think about something else I want. I'm getting £50 of HMV vouchers some time soon for my work on the open day in October (instead of a bonus) so I could save them all up and I'll have £70 towards something expensive (like an Xbox 360). We shall see.

I went into The Calendar Shop to get a calendar for next year (obviously) and was quite disappointed to see that the most appealing calendars were either Brad Pitt or Kittens. The PotC Calendar has no Norrington, the Lost Calendar has no Desmond and the Buffy Calendar has really old pics that everyone has seen. Meh. Why isn't there a BSG one? Or a Heroes one? Or even a LotR one? Hell, there wasn't even a Bean one!
