That was a really hard book to read for obvious reasons but what surprised me is how detached the author appears to be from everything that happened to him and his family. I suppose when you experience something as horrific as a concentration camp the only thing you CAN do is try and detach yourself from it

Next is The Atrocities of the Pirates by Aaron Smith. Quite appropriate given that Dead Man's Chest is out next week. LOL.

Hmm...

Last night [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw asked me who my favourite character from Firefly is. I realised that I didn't have one. I love them all.

Help me decide. Who is YOUR favourite character and why?

I think I'm going to have to pass on meeting Jorge Garcia and Maggie Grace this weekend. I just don't think my bank balance can cope with me spending £100 just on autographs :(

I'm a little disappointed but not massively so. Nathan and Elijah are the reasons I'm going to this con so as long as I get to meet them I'm happy

I'm going to try and meet Carrie Fisher too but if I can't manage it I won't be too upset

I'm having a random craving for porridge. You can bet that by the time I get home and can have some I won't want it anymore. Meh

I seriously don't understand the people at [livejournal.com profile] sawyerstillness. I just won 2nd place with this icon

Don't get me wrong, I'm really flattered and everything but all I did was crop it and alter the colouring ever so slightly. I was feeling lazy and couldn't think of anything else to do. There were MUCH better icons than that to vote for that clearly had more work put into them than this one. I dunno...

Here's the other 2 icons anyway

I really need to get into the habit of icon making again. I hardly did any last week. Didn't even enter [livejournal.com profile] bean_stillness. Bad Hils!
