We have internet! Only dialup at the moment and it's painfully slow compared to my broadband but it's better than nothing. Should hopefully have the broadband up and running in the next week or so

Just tried to order my new phone but the stupid Tesco website doesn't accept my brand of debit card. Feh! I'm going to go into town in a minute and see if I can get it for a similar price in the shop. On the plus side it means I won't have to wait for it to arrive in the post

robhu, we're probably going to come to yours tonight if that's ok. The flat is still in a bit of a state. I said I'd pick up Andy on the way at about 7 so we'll be at yours shortly after that. Greg is going to make his own way there

I hate people in mobile phone shops. They are invariably smug yuppie types who will try and sell you a load of stuff even if you tell them you don't want it

I went into Phones 4 U, knowing exactly what I wanted and just looking to see I could get it for a decent price

Me: Hi, how much is your Motorola V3
Smug Yuppie Type (SYT): £90. Do you want the V3i? It's better (and much more expensive)
Me: No thanks
SYT: Do you want a contract? You get the handset for free if you sign up and pay us money for a service you don't use
Me: No, thanks
SYT: *spends ten minutes trying to get me to sign up for a contract
Me: NO THANK YOU! (Now kindly fuck off and die you smug yuppie bastard)

Then I got served by the most miserable smug yuppie type in the shop. He didn't smile once the whole time he was talking to me

Still, I got my phone for the same price Tesco were selling it for and I'm back with O2. YAY! I've got full signal in the flat. WHEE!

New toy

Right, I've got all my numbers programmed into my new phone. Now I need to download a new ringtone and wallpaper. I'm thinking of starting off with a PotC theme. Nice pic of Jack and some music from the film as a ringtone. We'll see.

I do think it would be amusing to have the theme from Lost (the creepy music they play with the word Lost on screen) as the music that plays when I get a text message. Depends if I can download it from anywhere I guess

Right, now I need to go to Argos (with the laminated book of dreams). Back later.

Ok, that last part was a lie. He was very nice and sorted everything out for me. He even gave me a variety of coloured mounts to choose from. I opted for a nice deep green.

OMG! My Boromir print looks AMAZING! The guy did a fantastic job on it (and complimented my good eye for colour with the mount)

EEEE! I can't wait to hang it on my wall and show it off to everyone
