I slept better last night. A slightly odd dream where I was throwing toys for Boisterous Puppy and they exploded after a certain amount of time so I had to time it so neither of us got blown up. Weirdness

Everyone who passed the management assessment board last year is having lunch with the CE today. It's supposed to be an 'informal' lunch but I think everyone is going to wear a suit anyway. That'll be fun *eyeroll*

I need to finish packing up the stuff in my room tonight. I'm pretty much there so hopefully it won't take too long

I didn't panic last night when the letting agent informed me one of Jacqui's references hadn't been completed. See, I am a calm Hils. I float like a leaf on the wind. Or something ;)

Things I learned about Astin last night:

1. He is 'foliccly gifted'

2. He compares himself to Johnny Depp

3. He was jealous of his scale double because it meant he'd have less screen time himself

4. He was jealous of Elijah for being younger and more successful than him

I swear, actually finishing this book is going to be a real challenge

It's all going horribly wrong.

See, I should trust my gut feelings of doom.

The Apocalypse is not coming!

We're picking up the keys on Friday.

I wouldn't say I'm calm but I'm slightly happier. I'll be calm when I have the keys in my hand

This is so not like me. I'M usually the calm and rational one

*shrugs*

Lunch with the CE boiled down to this. There will be no management jobs coming up any time soon so we all need to either move away from York, leave or stay in our current roles. Meh

To be honest I really don't want to be a manager that desperately. I get a pay rise every year and I have enough money to live comfortably. I don't have a desperate urge to manage people or take on all the extra hassle of being a manager so maybe I'll just stay where I am. I can always get a different job at the same grade if I fancy a change.

I feel quite drained. I'm going to watch Desperate Housewives when I get home, do some more packing and then probably go to bed.
