I'm in a better mood today thankfully, and despite my post yesterday I did go into town and hand my letting form in so that's one thing I don't have to do today :)

I can't figure out the weather in this country. One day it's cold and then it's baking hot. You can guarantee the day I don't wear a coat will be the day it's freezing cold

As it is I wore a (leather) coat and a jumper today and it's bloody boiling! I think I might just leave my coat here tonight. I really don't want to wear it on the way home or carry it. Even if it's cold in the morning it's not far to walk to work

In happier news rancour has just gone out and he's going to bring me back some cake. Bad Hils, I know!

Tomorrow (after work and my nap) we have to start packing. It's now looking like we'll be moving the weekend of the 20th rather than next weekend so at least we have a bit more time to get our stuff sorted. Landlady did her inspection last week and she's going to give us a list of things that need sorting before we go. At least this way we know what needs doing and won't have any surprises sprung on us

I want to leave work early today but I have to stay until at least 4 as I left early yesterday. Ah well, at least I can just go straight home

Has anyone seen Deadwood? Dad has given me Season 1 to borrow and I might start watching it tonight. It looks good from the clips that I've seen (but full of swearing. LOL)

I need to get my hair cut and colour it again but it'll have to wait until next month. I'm a poor Hils this month :(

Fanniversary

supergee did a post today, mentioning that today was his fanniversary. Fanniversary being the date of his first involvement in fandom. I thought this was a really great idea but didn't know what date mine should be. I've been involved with various fandoms over the years so it was hard to choose a specific date. Then I realised it all came down to Buffy. Buffy was my first real involvement in fandom, where I interracted with other fans, went to conventions, gave something back to the fandom. So the date was obvious really. On 20 Dec 2000 I published my first ever piece of fanfiction on fanfiction.net It was Spuffy and saw the start of many more stories to come

So, I am hereby declaring 20/12 my fanniversary. I don't know what it will involve yet. Maybe just an LJ post. Maybe something a bit more like a new fic or something. We shall see. I have plenty of time to prepare. LOL.
