Slept from 2pm until 10pm. Got up, had some dinner, watched some Spaced and now I'm going back to bed again

Most likely not gonna go to work tomorrow. Even if I feel better I could probably do with another days rest and boss lady doesn't appear to be expecting me in anyway

:)

Wow, I actually feel something close to human this morning. WHEE!

Didn't go to work, as you can probably tell, and my mum is going to visit this afternoon and take me to the supermarket to stock up on food.

This is the icon I entered for [livejournal.com profile] sawyerstillness last week. Didn't win anything for it, but I just like having fun playing to be honest. Anyway, it's up for grabs if anyone wants it

Hmm.....

I have this sudden urge to totally redesign my LJ with new banners and colours. MUST do my last 20 Apollo icons before anything else though

OOH!

DVDs from Amazon Rentals have arrived

Nosferatu (because [livejournal.com profile] flickums demanded I watch it)
Kidnapped (with Paul McGann)
The Second Coming (with Christopher Ecclestone)

Should be interesting

Hmm....

Imagine a world where The Renown (or The Dauntless) somehow wound up discovering the island from Lost

*imagines a happy world where Sawyer, Norrington, Archie, Horatio and Bush all become....ahem...acquainted*

*smiles happily and wanders off*

Edit: Isn't it confusing that Lost and PotC both have a character called Jack and Hornblower and Lost both have a character called Sawyer

Mum-Ra took me to the supermarket and bought me lunch. Had turkey with all the trimmings. Couldn't manage it all but ate most of it. Then we bought food and came home. Am feeling pretty drained after all that so I might have a nap for a bit and then watch a DVD when [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw gets home

I like the fact that they both look quite bemused. I think I would too if it started snowing on a tropical island and I suddenly found myself wearing a santa hat

What do you think?

hils: (Apollo)
I just made my first Apollo icon since I got ill on Thursday. Came to add the text and PSP randomly shuts down and I lose it.

Bollocks!

Can't be arsed to do it all again

Ok, at a first glance the idea of Christopher Eccleston being the second coming of Christ might seem a little...insane. However, this film turned out to be (in my opinion) a very interesting and rather realistic take on what would happen if the son of God came back to earth today. A lot of interesting theological discussions arose, the main one being are we, as human beings, better off in a Godless society? Wow, I really wish we'd studied this when I was at university. Unfortunately I left university before it was made. It would have made a fantasic base point for my dissertation.

Ah well, I shall have to settle for musing over the issues it raised in my own mind. Thinking about it, half my Theology class were CU members and they'd have gone a bit mental if they'd had to watch it. Thinking about it, so would I back then, my religious beliefs have changed a lot since I left university.

Hmm...

Im going to be fiddling with my LJ settings over the next day or so. If you wander over and it looks all weird just ignore it

:)

Thoughts?

What do you think of my 'Christmas journal'? I'm still playing at this stage so I'm open to suggestions
