Road to recovery

Well, I'm going to go to work today but whether I stay the whole day or not remains to be seen. I am feeling a lot better but I'm still not 100% and if just walking into town left me drained yesterday I don't know what a full day of work will do. I'll see how it goes

Still (sorry for the TMI) I hacked up all the crap that was lodged in my throat last night so it's not hurting anywhere near as much as it was. I have picked up a cough now though so it's not all progress. My tummy feels a bit ikky too but I think that's mostly because I haven't eaten a great deal since I got ill on Thursday night. I'm feeling pretty tired too but then I ususally do when I get up for work. LOL

Like I said, I'll see how it goes. I'm not one of those people who will soldier on at work when I'm clearly unwell and infecting everyone around me. If I feel bad I shall come home and go back to bed.

Am home. Boss lady was really nice and told me I could leave whenever I wanted to. Managed to stick it out until 10:30. She told me I don't need to ring in tomorrow if I'm still poorly so at least I won't have to get up if I don't want to.

Mum was supposed to be visiting this evening but she's going to come tomorrow instead

I had a craving for chicken pie yesterday so I've bought 2 small ones and some mash. Shall have one for lunch and one for dinner. Need to start eating properly again

And I put in my application for boss lady's job. We had a bit of a chat about it and it really is going to boil down to who has the most experience. Because it's only a temporary promotion there is no formal interview, just an informal chat and then whoever is considered to be the most suitable and has the most experience gets the job. It entirely boils down to who else applies really.

Still, as I said to boss lady, and she agreed 'you don't get anywhere unless you have a try'

So there we go. Just have to wait and see
