Desperate Housewives
Oct. 20th, 2005 01:37 pmWell, I'm now 3 episodes into Desperate Housewives and I'm warming to it now. The last episode was pretty good and although I'm not 100% interested in it yet I'm willing to carry on watching. Episode 4 should be waiting for me when I get home tonight. Ah, so much stuff to watch and so little time
I think I need a Bree icon

Oct. 20th, 2005 01:48 pmWe were having a discussion about politics today and one of the older women in my office said that she found it really sad that people my age don't see politics as important. Apparently we spend all our time complaining about the state of the country but then are too lazy to do anything about it.
Now, I always vote when there is an election but these words struck a cord. I DO spend a lot of time complaining about the way things are and no, I don't do anything about it. So I decided to look into joining the local branch of the political party I support
Seems the only way I can even find out where the meetings take place is to make a donation to the party of at least £5 per month. They'll then tell you where the meetings are in your membership pack. That's quite a lot of money for me to find out that the meetings are too far for me to get to.
I do feel like maybe I should do something though so maybe I will join. I can always cancel my membership if it doesn't work out

A woman who used to work with us came in with her 6 month old baby today and everyone insisted I take a turn at holding him. I don't really like babies even though this was quite a cute one and I really had no idea what to do. Gave him back as soon as I could do so without being offensive
flickums, if our parents are going to have grandchildren you'll have to provide them
OMG!ROTFLMAO!
Oct. 20th, 2005 09:09 pmWallace and Gromit is without a doubt the funniest film I've seen this year. Lots of silly slapstick for the kiddies and an equal amount of subtle adult humour for the grown ups. Everyone in the cinema, adult and child alike, was howling with laughter
Go see it!

Edit: Saw a full length Harry Potter trailer with loads of exciting new clips and an equally exciting Chronicles of Narnia trailer *squees with excitement*

I don't think I'm going to be able to watch Return of the King tonight. It's getting late and I have to be at work super early so I can be home super early for my stupid house inspection. The place is a bit of a mess but as
jacqui_hw pointed out, we can hardly get evicted for having a bit of clutter lying around
I should probably do the washing up though...
