Celebrity Big Brother started tonight. Interesting mix of people, some of whome I'd heard of and some of whom I hadn't. Difficult to guage who I want to win at this early stage but I reckon Brigitte Nielson or Jeremy Edwards will be the ones I will be rooting for.

I was hoping to go back to work today but I'm still sneezing, snotting and coughing all over the place. I do feel a bit better than I did yesterday but I think sitting in a cold office would just make things worse

Had a strange dream that it was Christmas and I was determined to make a Christmas card out of wood for one of my friends. I wanted it to play music too and I was trying to work out how it was done. Then it was our work Christmas meal and I was insisting that I cook pancakes for everyone afterwards. Very strange

It DID remind me that it's Shrove Tuesday next month. Mmm...pancakes.

Well, at least this bloody cold has given me something postivie. I've head plenty of time for reading in bed. I just finished the Johnny Depp biography and am now about to start reading about Witchcraft in the North-East of England. Hmmm...wonder if we burned any here in York?

Oh, and according to the Johnny book he got the bird tattoo when his son was born so he already had it when they filmed PotC.

General ramble

You know, sometimes I really wish I had more interesting things to post about. I mean, we have quite interesting chats and discussions at work which I would love to share with my flist but I've always forgotten about it by the time I get home. Oh, if only we had the internet at work...I'd never get ANYTHING done. LOL. So, yeah, I post a lot but most of it is superficial bollocks. Must try and say more interesting things from now on.

It occured to me today that I really do complain a lot when I'm ill. God knows what I'll be like if I get anything serious. I'm such a wuss.

It's occured to me that I have a load of videos and DVDs that I've borrowed off people that I haven't watched. I really need to get on with it. I've got :-

all sat there waiting to be watched, not to mention the DVDs I got for Christmas that I haven't watched either. I honestly don't know what I do with all my free time. Make pointless LJ posts I guess.

Jacqui and I have pencilled in a Buffy session this weekend in a desperate attempt to get me back into the fandom. I REALLY want to get Press-Ganged finished. I've only got two chapters left and I just just can't seem to get motivated. Hopefully we'll get the Extended Edition of Return of the King watched this weekend too.

I just realised we've still got some Christmas streamers up in the hall and some balloons up in the living room. Is it terribly bad luck to have decorations up after twelfth night?

Also, doesn't this mood icon look like Jack Davenport is looking at the Jack Sparrow doll? Just me then

Well, we're in 2004 and I have to say that aside from me constantly having no money it wasn't a bad year at all. Only 3 more episodes of Babylon 5 left to go. Don't you hate those mornings where nothing seems to go right? Anyone fancy making me some Giles icons? My baby, my kitty, whom I have given nothing but love and affection his whole life decided yesterday he wasn't in the mood to be picked up and cuddled so he clawed a big chunk out of my arm. Phoned up and paid my phone bill this morning so that's one less thing to worry about. Dave and I had our first therapy together on Monday. I've had quite an enjoyable evening. I'm a bit hungover this morning but I had SO much fun last night. Went to bed last night to find a little ball of kitty #2 waiting for me. It's been a pretty good end of weekend today. *Opens first advent calendar window*
