I had a HORRIBLE nightmare last night where nuclear war was imminent. I was sat with a few of my friends and we all decided it would be better to commit suicide and go through the fallout and the sickness. I sat there and watched people I care about die but the missiles were launched before I could take my own life. Then it skipped forward to a few months later. Britain, it seemed, was the enemy of pretty much everyone else and it was only a matter of time before the whole country was destroyed.

I woke up feeling completely freaked out and I'm still a bit shaken now :-S

Sorry about my freak-out paranoia this morning. I honestly don't know where my head is at the moment. I was just looking through my flist this morning and everyone seemed to be getting loads of comments about their Christmas Wishlist memes and I didn't have any. Very silly I know, but my head was already in a bad place after that stupid dream I had so I totally overreacted. Sorry about that

It's that time of year again

I did a post about this last week but I didn't get many responses so I thought I'd have another bash. This is so I can put together a couple of Christmas CDs. I'll be happy to send copies out to anyone who wants one. Just leave me a comment or e mail me.

I've just friended a couple of my favourite authors. I find it amazing that it is so easy in this modern world to gain access to people like this.

I remember when I e mailed Poppy Z. Brite (docbrite) a couple of years ago after I found a link on her website. I had a reply within 24 hours. It's just so cool that authors allow themselves to be accessible like this.

As well as Poppy I finally got around to friending Neil Gaiman (officialgaiman). I've been a huge fan since my friend Matthew recommended Neverwhere to me over 3 years ago

Afternoons off are bad. I was going to work hard on my Sparrington fic but I'm sleepy so I'm going to have a nap

Still, I've worked a bit on Episode 5 of Buffy Season 8 so at least that's something. I might be able to get some Sparrington done when I wake up

It's quite frustrating, I have the whole fic planned out in my head but I still haven't worked out why Norrington wants to end his life *sigh*

The Good: Just saw a new Mastercard advert with Jack Davenport doing the voiceover. He really is priceless :)
Watched some more Alias tonight. Sark! YAY! Jack! YAY! Syd/Vaughn shippiness! YAY! Dysfunctional spy family! YAY!

The Bad: Dubya wants to bomb Iran and North Korea. Don't get me wrong, I am anti Nuclear Bombs. Did you read about my dream? SO anti nuclear bombs! I've been terrified of nuclear war since I was forced to watch Threads in RE at the age of 14. That being said, I honestly don't think bombing the crap out of a country is going to make them want to comply. Thankfully Tony Blai is siding with Europe on this one. Negotations are the way forward in this instance. I hope

I have decided to try and give psubrat something from her wishlist, but I need your help. Her request was

Just one day where no one on my friends list bashes President Bush or talks about politics...period (and that includes both sides). I know, asking a lot here, but this is a wishlist, right?

I propose this. On Dec 24th we all actively do NOT do any political or bashy posts. Christmas is a time of peace, right? I realise there is a lot going on and that there will be troops in Iraq over Christmas and of course I'm not saying we should forget them. All I'm saying is that we do not do any ranty posts and instead do posts fuelled by love and not hate. If I can do this then the rest of you can too

Please post this in your LJ so we can try and have at least one day of peace :)
