I forgot to mention that I got an e mail yesterday thanking me for all my hard work in organising the Halloween party for work. Then my boss got an e mail saying I'd done a great job and thanking him for allowing me the time I needed to sort everything out

Remember the JM calendar I mentioned in this post (right at the bottom). It's been withdrawn from sale because of breach of copywrite or something. Apparently they needed the permission of JM to use his image, even though the calendar was being sold to raise money for the charity James endorses. 30 copies of the calendar were dispatched before it was withdrawn, including mine so I now have a super-rare Buffy item

Nov. 2nd, 2004 01:26 pmThere is going to be a strike at work on Fridat over civil service redundancies. I'm not in the union so I don't have to strike but the idea of crossing a picket line worries me. I've been told the people picketing can get quite abusive and I really don't need that. Everyone else seems to be coming into work but they'll all be in cars so it's less of a worry for them. Any suggestions. If it comes to it I can take the day off as holiday. I don't feel strongly enough about this issue to strike and I don't want an unauthorised absence on my file

My phone is knackered. It works fine until I try to use the WAP and then it switches itself off. I really don't know what's wrong with it.
Still,mum_ra has already agreed to get me a new one for Christmas so I only need to hold out for a few more weeks. Can anyone suggest some good phones? Ideally I'd like one on the Orange network but it's not essential. It also needs to be pay as you go rather than a contract phone
