I can't believe that after being in the flat for over 2 months we still don't have all our bills sorted out. Yorkshire Water are claiming I never registered with them so I've had to do it again, npower have been fine but our flat has this stupid system where the electricity meters are locked away in a special cupboard that only the estate agents have the key for. Npower wrote to me saying they needed our meter seriel number before they could finish setting us up. Jacqui phoned the agency and made an appointment for them to come out and give us access to the meter. Rather than knocking on the door, the agent merely GUESSED what we needed, scribbled it down on a peice of paper and slipped it under our door. Problem is I think they wrote the wrong thing down so we're going to have to get them out AGAIN. We're going to have a MASSIVE first bill by the time this all gets sorted out.

*sigh*

Here I was feeling good because I got all my money sorted out. All my spare cash is going to go on stupidly high bills now :(

You're Fred. What this says about you: You're
very intelligent and optimistic, but you fear
the outside world and are unsure of your place
in it . People don't always get you or your
kooky ways, but you don't mind. You're very
sensitive and romantic, but when you're in
love, you have the tendancy to let your eye
wander. Take a minute to assess how you really
feel about someone before breaking their heart

Ow! The office olympics are now taking their toll on me. My legs really ache this morning. On the plus side, I've won two gold medals so far and 1 silver (Archery - which was more like magnetic darts and 100m dash which involved wheeling yourself up and down the office as fast as you can in your chair. Silver medal was for Javelin which was a bunch of drinking straws stuck together)

You wouldn't think it would be hard to buy a trifle dish would you? I went into every shop in town yesterday looking for one like this and I couldn't get one anywhere. The one in the photo is my mums and she says it's pretty old and couldn't suggest where to try. Meh.

Bought a cheap copy of Signs on ebay yesterday so I can enjoy more of the wonders of Joaquin. I've heard it's not as good as M Night Shymalan's other films but I'll give it a go. It was only £7 with free postage anyway so not a great loss if it sucks

I had my mid-year report at work today and it left me speechless. In a good way. I don't think I could have had a nicer report if I'd written it myself. Not only did my boss say he thinks I'm good management material but he also said (to my face) that he thinks I'm the glue that holds the office together and enables us all to bond so well. I honestly didn't know what to say to that. It's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I make the office the pleasant and fun working environment that it is *beam*

So now I have a few management training courses to do and then I have to start applying for managment jobs *gulp* Of course applying for them and getting them are two different things, but it's a start

Oh, and he said he was going to recommend me for a bonus. YAY! Again, being recommended isn't the same as getting one but it's more than I had last year
