At 9:30 this morning I was woken up by my neighbours on one side playing VERY loud Gloria Estefan and my neighbours on the other side were doing yet more hammering and drilling. Normally this would cause me to explode in a fit of rage and do a ranty post using this icon

However, I am quite calm because I am safe in the knowledge that by the end of next weekend I'll be in my new flat and won't have to deal with this shit any more.

That said, however, now the noise has stopped I might go and have a nap before jazz_police gets here for the weekend of packing fun

Progress

The packing is going really well and I'm glad jazz_police was here to help. My room looks so different with the walls all bare and stuff. I need to buy a spot of paint to go over the blue tack marks where my posters were.

Mother dearest has offered to help me shify pretty much all of my stuff, just leaving the really big stuff for my dad on Sunday. This now means I should be pretty much moved in on Thursday. WHEE!

Going to ring BT on Monday so the phone line is all ready for when I get there. Can't be going without my internet.

flickums has named my new flat The Fangirl Pad because Jacqui and I are going to cover the place with posters of James, Johnny, Jack Dav, general Pirates of the Carribbean stuff, general Buffy stuff and general Harry Potter stuff. I like the name. Think I will refer to it as that from now on.
