HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, we're in 2004 and I have to say that aside from me constantly having no money it wasn't a bad year at all. So, my only New Year's resolution is going to be to be more careful with my money. No more spontaneous purchases for me!

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

Well, the year started off pretty well, then I went and got myself a life (read boyfriend) and haven't really done a great deal since. I'm trying to get a balance between seeing people and writing now. Maybe I should make that another of my New Year's resolutions. Set aside Hils time.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?

Buffy/Faith. Yes, the fic isn't finished yet but I never really had any sort of liking for femslash and I'm still amazed that I wrote it. MUST find someone to take a look at it for me

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.

Again, I know it's not finished but I'm loving Press-Ganged. Must get on and do part 3

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

Well, I wrote both Slash and AU, neither of which I had ever done before. Still waiting to see about the Buffy/Faith but Press-Ganged seemed to be getting pretty positive reviews

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

Mainly to get Press-Ganged done and to get my Buffy/Faith fic into some sort of postable state

World Idol

Just finished watching World Idol. It was hilarious, you could really tell that there were one or two people who were convinced that they were going to win. I love it when the underdog comes through.

On the same day that I stated that my New Year's resolution was to save money, I've just bid on the Angel Season 3 on Ebay. True, they're being sold for £30 which is about a third of the price, but that's not the point. I don't NEED the DVDs. I'm kind of hoping someone will outbid me now. Bad Hils!
