Yesterday I reached the conclusion that someone out there really doesn't like me. Yesterday the shitness continued. First of all I got up in the morning and rang national rail enquiries just to make sure the train time I'd been given was right, after the fiasco on Friday. Was told that there was only one train running in the afternoon and that was at 4:20 (this was NOT the time I had been told originally). Was a little pissed off but got over it. Decided to wear my new sexy DMs into town when I went in for some lunch and ended up with some big blisters on my heels.
Anyway I got to the station at 4:10. 2 HOURS later I was still there. Eventually a train rolled in just after 6 which WAS the time I had been told the first time I rang. Livid does not even begin to cover it! Still, I finally made it to Laura's and we hit the Absinth pretty much straight away. Laura's little green friend made an appearance and I felt much calmer after that.
Party was good. Mostly just sat around and chatted whilst smoking and drinking a lot. Was called upon to reveal my Buffy knowledge to the group which gave me a nice ego boost and it was generally good. Crawled off to bed at about 1:30, feeling nicely sated.
Got up at about 10 this morning. Helped Laura tidy up and partook of breakfast. Porridge and toast. Yum! Sat around and read Oh My Goth by Voltaire - VERY amusing. We went to the pub for lunch and then vegged in front of the TV this afternoon. Watched some of Cats and the majority of an Audrey Hepburn/Cary Grant film. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II was just starting when it was time for me to leave.
So, aside from the cat needing to go to the vet tomorrow, nothing has gone wrong today. PLEASE may it continue
